Making a reservation

Please note that as part of the reservation creation workflow it is necessary to create a free UpWoof account or sign in to an existing UpWoof account.

Once you have found a listing you are ready to make a reservation. On the public profile page of the listing fill in the basic information about your reservation such as check-in and checkout dates, the number and type of animals staying etc. Once you've completed filling in this information click the Check Availability button.

Check listing availability
If the listing has availability, you will be presented with the accommodation that is available to book. If you are satisfied with the accommodation option available to you, click the Reserve Your Stay button to launch the Reservation Wizard. This is where you will fill in the remaining information necessary to finish your reservation request.

Reserve your stay
At this point in the reservation workflow you will need to create a free UpWoof account or sign in to an existing UpWoof account in order to continue your reservation. Upon completion of account creation, or after signing in to an existing account you will be redirected automatically to the Reservation Wizard where you can continue the reservation request you have started.
Reservation wizard step 1
If you are already signed in to your UpWoof account or you have just finished creating a free UpWoof account you should now have been redirected to Step 1 of the Reservation Wizard. This step allows you to select the drop off and pick up times for your reservation. The time at which you drop off or pick up your pets may influence the total price of your reservation. For example a listing may charge you for the day if you pick your pet up in the afternoon, whereas they may not charge you for the day if you pick your pet up in the morning. Click the Next Step button when you have selected the drop off and pick up windows that best suit you.

Step 2 of the Reservation Wizard allows you to tell the listing which of your pets will be staying with them. If you do not yet have any pets associated with your UpWoof account click the Add Pet button to create a new pet record. If you have used UpWoof before, the pets associated with your account will be listed for you to select from without needing to reenter their information.

If you are using UpWoof for the first time, or you have a pet that you haven't associated with your UpWoof account you will need to create a new pet record. This can be done via the Add Pet Modal Window that appears when you click the Add Pet button. Fill in the information about your pet and click Save Pet when you're done.

Once you've successfully added your pet to your UpWoof account you will need to assign it to your reservation. This is done in the Assign Pets section of Step 2 of the Reservation Wizard. Note that it is only possible to assign a pet if the accommodation you have selected permits the animal type of your pet. For example if you are making a cattery reservation and you have both a cat and a dog listed as pets in UpWoof, it will only be possible to assign your cat to the reservation because the listing does not accommodate dogs. Click the Next Step button when you have assigned the pets who will be staying to your reservation.
Reservation wizard step 3
Step 3 of the Reservation Wizard allows you to tell the listing how to contact you. Information the listing requires includes your name, email address, phone number and address/billing address. Click the Next Step button when you have filled in your contact details.

Reservation wizard step 4
Step 4 of the Reservation Wizard summarizes your reservation information. It gives you the opportunity to review the reservation details including the price and the listing's terms and conditions. If you need to make changes to a step you have already completed click the Back link located at the bottom of the page to the left of the Create Reservation button. If you are satisfied that everything is correct and you're ready to finalize your reservation click the Create Reservation button.

Reservation request complete
Congratulations! You have successfully created a reservation on UpWoof. The listing will review your reservation request and accept or decline it within 24 hours. When the listing responds you will receive an email. Alternatively you can visit your reservation page to check for updates to the status of your reservation by clicking the Visit My Reservation Page button.
